Police and firemen union sues town hall

ESTEPONA - ACCORDING to union CSI-CSIF, Estepona Town Hall owes 170 local police and firemen some 1.2 million euros. They have been paid no compensation for failing to take their summer holidays in 2008, nor for working nights, or attending trial on their days off. The union has now taken the problem to court.

However, the town hall reports that it plans to hold a meeting and solve the problem with the police and firemen affected. This is, however, the first time the town hall has publicly admitted to the debt.
