More trains between Faro and Oporto

Linking Faro and Oporto: The ‘Alfa Pendular’.

THE Portuguese Railway Company CP has announced a new train service which started on April 22, connecting Faro with Portugal’s second largest city, Oporto, in six hours.

The trains stop at Tunes, Pinhal Novo (Palmela), Orient Station (Lisbon), Coimbra and Aveiro.

There will be two daily connections in each direction offered by the new ‘Alfa Pendular’ trains.

The first morning train leaves Oporto at 6am and arrives in Faro at midday, whereas the second ‘Alfa Pendular’ leaves Faro at 7am and arrives at its final destination at 1pm. During the afternoon, the ‘Alfa’ leaves Faro at 3pm and arrives at Porto at 9pm. The service ends with the departure of the last train from Oporto at 4pm.
