Callum, 9, stars in movie

A LOCAL boy from Arroyo de la Miel is starring in the new movie ´El Corazon de la Tierra´ now being shown at Plaza Mayor.

Nine-year-old Callum Aspey attends the Stage Coach acting school in Fuengirola and has previously appeared in the pantomime ´Aladdin´ and in ´The Dancing Years´, both directed by Peter Mitchell

Callum plays a boy named ´Pablo´ in the Spanish, English, Portuguese collaboration about the uprising at the copper mines of Rio Tinto at the turn of the 20th century. Pablo´s father conspired against the mine owners to get better conditions for the workers and their families, with the whole family evicted as a result.

Currently Callum is working together with his class mates and teachers at Stage Coach on a recreation of ´High School Musical´.
