Mayor lunches with athletes

The Mayor and the athletes enjoying a celebratory

THE MAYOR of Torremolinos, Pedro Fernandez Montes, held a lunch at the Centro Asturiano in Torremolinos with members of the local Athletics Club who took part in the International Half Marathon. He congratulated them on the excellent performance they showed during the competition. Torremolinos won the first prize by teams in this competition against elite international athletes and the local team contributes to encouraging sport in the town. The athletes thanked the town hall for the efforts to improve and expand sports facilities in the area, and for the support they are offering the club.
