High-tech burglary

THIEVES broke into a computer goods company and stole items worth 156,000 euros.

They took advantage of the Bank Holiday and broke into the warehouse of the wholesale computer store Tradex, situated in the San Luis industrial area. The thieves disconnected the alarm and made a hole in the roof and another two in the room where the safe was kept, managed to open it and took the 36,000 euros from inside.

They then centred their attention on high-value articles like portable computers, hard discs, microprocessors and memory chips and made off with goods estimated by the company to be worth approximately 120,000 euros.
