Virtual tourist routes through city

MALAGA town hall will introduce a “Virtual Tourist Routes” portal on their website www.malgaturismo.com that enables users to visit the pedestrian tourist routes throughout Malaga city, as part of the “Get to Know Malaga on Foot” plan that was launched recently.
The current routes are, Tradicional (tradition), Picassiana (Picasso oriented), Monumental (monuments), Sacra y Botanica (religion and botanical) and the newest addition – “Malaga, la Piedra y el Agua”(Malaga, stone and water) focusing on fountains and statues in the city.
This site uses videos and 3D images, audio, panoramic 360 degrees photographs and flash animations to create simulations of each of the routes. All will be in Spanish, English, German, French and Japanese. Links to Google Maps and Google Earth will also be available for downloading maps. An investment of 160,606 euros has been put into the project which will offer the traveller different cultural and historic aspects of the city before they arrive thereby helping them plan the visit. |  Return to Top
