William back on track

 THE Costa Blanca’s British racing driver William Zollo, 16, from Benidoleig, returns to the track on May 20.
After four weeks’ seasonal lay-off, William will compete in the British Racing and Sports Car Club’s National Circuit Meeting at Silverstone, Northants. He will drive in two Carphone Championship races in his 200kph bright blue Reynard Formula Ford single-seater, No 27.
William has now qualified for his international category racing licence and has been on the podium five times in his short career – two wins, a second and two thirds.
He has now left school in Pedreguer and is working full-time at Silverstone on a variety of jobs intended to bring him experience of a wide range of motor racing involvement.
No fewer than four days will be spent this week in hundreds of laps of testing for his team Marque Racing, not only at Silverstone but Mallory Park, Leicestershire and Oulton Park, Cheshire as well. |  Return to Top
