Pilar’s popularity continues to climb

THE national Spanish indoor climbing championship will take place in Pilar de la Horadada on May 5 and 6.

The town's 'rocodromo' or indoor climbing court is currently being built, and will be “the most important in Spain” according to company director and event organiser Carlos Comas. During the championship, many world champions of the sport will display their abilities in the sports centre, including last year's winner Pachi Usobiaga, from the Basque Country.
