Citizens Rights Office closes with thousands of actions pending

THE Malaga Citizens Rights Office has closed with a total of 2,774 actions pending - an 81 per cent increase on the previous year.
The office has become a reference point for a large number of people who go to present their complaints or suggestions, or go to request information regarding the public authorities.
Since the office opened in 2005, of the total number of actions carried out, 1,043 proceedings have been opened, according to the County Council, who added that the office has a commitment to acknowledge the claim, give it a file number within 72 hours, and to process or resolve it within 30 days.
Although various complaints had been received, topping the list of complaints were housing and infrastructure issues, amounting to 21.55 per cent of the total received. In second place were those regarding social rights. |  Return to Top
