Tollywood comes to Benalmadena

BENALMADENA has been selected as the set for a film being produced by Locations Spain.

A scene has been shot at the Benalmadena Sports Marina and forms part of a film entitled ‘Kaditham’ which tells the experiences of a couple who decide to spend their holidays in different parts of Spain, including Benalmadena.

Fourteen technicians and four actors were present to film an Indian dance which is typical in this type of film. Other scenes are scheduled to be shot in Plaza Mayor and in the centre of

Malaga.

Locations Spain specializes in Indian films produced in Tamil, known as Tollywood. Tollywood is the name given to films made in Tamil language and form part of the group better known as Bollywood which constitutes the centre of the Indian film industry.

This is the second time the film company has chosen Benalmadena for shooting films, the first time being in February 2006. Many national film producers choose Benalmadena for advertisements and films due to the varied scenery it

offers.
