Internet World Congress ends

THE eleventh National Internet Users Congress closed its doors last week with more than 3,600 visitors to the comercial exhibition. Over a thousand attended the conferences and there were 98 speakers, 156 lecturers distributed through 56 stands and 132 accredited journalists. It was the first time the Congress had been held in Malaga. According to the president of the organising comittee, Miguel Perez Subias, the event has surpassed all expentations. He also announced plans for the 2008 congress to also be held again in Malaga.

The Congress ended with a debate on changes yet to come in digital journalism, including ‘e-learning’ and the adaptation of small and medium-sized businesses to the information society.
