Clothing crime network discovered

POLICE have uncovered an organisation dedicated to stealing clothes in shops by deactivating alarms using       aluminium. Eleven Romanian people have been arrested for their involvement in the organi-sed crimes which were carried out in Alicante and Marbella.

Guardia Civil and police sources have said that the seven men and four women that have been arrested face charges of two robberies using force, and more than 80 crimes of pilfe-ring. National Police received   information from the Romanian Police warning them of the  possibility of members from a criminal organisation dedicated to this specific kind of crime moving to Spain.

The investigation resulted in some of the suspects being found in Almeria, where the  organisation had settled initially.

The Police in Alicante have confiscated several objects,  including a fake gun, jewellery, expensive watches, 9,550 euros in cash and 11 mobile phones, while in an apartment in  Marbella, a large amount of expensive designer clothes was discovered as well as tools used in the robberies.
