Commercial centre reported once more

• 31 May 2007 •

THE GENERAL Direction of Commerce in Malaga has opened a sanctioning report for gross misconduct against Commercial Centre Vialia, Malaga and another for misconduct against the shops located inside the centre for opening Sundays and holidays; this is according to labour committees CCOO and UGT.

Labour committees and business people have to date presented more than 20 complaint reports against Vialia, with the 14th resulting in the sanctions elevating from misconduct to gross misconduct.

The Provincial Secretary of the UGT Federation of Commerce, Jose Antonio Sedano, has declared this “very positive” and announced that if the company and business of Vialia do not comply, the UGT Labour Committee will ask for the maximum sanction to be applied. This could result in   collection of all benefits obtained by Vialia for having opened on forbidden days, and even closing down of the centre.

Last April the Council of Tourism, Commerce and Sport imposed a sanction of 136,048.5 euros on the Necsa S.A, a developer located inside Vialia, for continued infraction of the legal commercial opening hours and days.
