Threat of jail

A 59-YEAR-OLD man, accused of raping a girl staying in an apartment he owned in Torremolinos while she was looking for work, could face nine years in prison following a plea by Malaga Public Prosecutor’s Office.The rape occurred in 2001 at the apartment, with the girl only escaping after agreeing to go out for dinner with him. Once outside she attracted the attention of two Moroccan neighbours. The prosecutor is also asking for 6,000 euros compensation for the victim.
