Double celebration in Armacao de Pera
• 21 Jun 2007 • ON Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25 Armação de Pêra is hosting the ninth Festival da Caldeirada. Caldeirada is a typical Algarvean dish which consists of stewed fish and sea food with potatoes, onions ,tomatoes, pimentos, spices wine and olive oil. A number of local restaurants, including the Hotel Garbe’s, Por do Sol Restaurant are taking part, and as well as serving Caldeirada, will also have other typical fish dishes available.
This year’s event promises to be extra special, as it coincides with the weekend of the parade of Sao Joao, which will take place in the main avenue of Armacao de Pera at 10pm on June 23.
