Fried fish celebration held in Torremolinos

Tradition: Fried fish is served to visitors.

THE Dia Del Pescaito (Fried Fish Day) recently held in Torremolinos was once again a huge success. Restaurants in La Carihuela and Montemar gave away between 10,000 and 12,000 kilos of different kinds of typical small fried fish.

During this annual celebration, most of the restaurants from La Carihuela, El Saltillo and El Bajondillo place maximum effort into promoting the high level of gastronomy for which the areas are famous. Free drinks were also available, as well as traditional musical performances.

Many young people dressed up in traditional costumes and handed out flowers to visitors.
