Man kidnapped and robbed

• 11 Oct 2007 •

A 27-YEAR-OLD man from Sevilla but now resident in Malaga was attacked and kidnapped for an hour-and-a-half by four individuals.

According to the victim, he was returning from a night out with friends and was driving along the road that joins Guadalmar with the A-7 motorway that near the Plaza Mayor leisure complex, when two vehicles blocked his car forcing him to stop.

Four individuals with their faces covered then forced the man to lie down in the back seat of his own car; they produced a knife and threatened to kill him if he tried to do anything. The kidnappers then drove all three vehicles to the beach where they hit their victim several times and forced him to give them his credit card.

They took 600 euros from his account, a bracelet, his mobile phone, watch, rings, the GPS from his company car, a Bluetooth device and his wallet. They left him his DNI card, passport and car. According to the victim, one of his kidnappers was Spanish, while the other three were possibly Romanian.

The man managed to get into his car despite jaw injuries and contusions to his ribs and drove to a nearby petrol station in Avenida Velazquez, where employees took him to hospital.
