Weekend drink drivers

LOCAL POLICE arrested a man last Saturday after he ran over a cyclist while driving under the influence of alcohol on Calle Maestro Antonio Marquez, Velez-Malaga.

The cyclist was admitted to Hospital Comarcal with serious injuries, according to the Town Hall.

Another three drink driving incidents took place last weekend in Velez-Malaga. One man was arrested for riding a moped under the influence of alcohol at the Almachar with Benamocarra crossroads.

Another young man crashed his car into a roundabout next to the Sevilla Lane while over the legal alcohol limit.

The third driver was arrested after he turned himself into Local Police informing them that he had been drinking and had hit another car.
