Algarve Invites tourism fair

 THE second edition of the tourism fair “Algarve Convida” (Algarve Invites) took place in Lisbon at the Atlantic Pavilion of Nations Park to promote the region as a holiday destination and publicise the existing tourism offer.
Sponsored by the Algarve Tourism Board (RTA), the fair included nearly 70 exhibitors and delegations from local municipalities, tourism and leisure equipments, associations and travel agencies, as well as hotels and resorts which were offering accommodation and holiday packages with special discounts.
The event also included entertainment and recreational activities inside and outside the pavilion, and visitors were able to savour regional specialities at the Algarve Pub. Even though tourism promotion was the fair’s main goal, it was not the only one. Helder Martins, president of the RTA, said that this year the fair was bigger in terms of the exhibitions, adding that Parkalgar, the company which is building the regional motor-racing circuit was also present, promoting the Algarve as a region where important international motor-racing events can take place, as soon as the circuit is concluded. |  Return to Top
