Marijuana found in Torre

Pot: Twenty-five plants found in Torre del Mar.

MARIJUANA plants, ready for harvest, have been found in Torre del Mar. There were more than 25 large plants with a total weight of 340 kilos.

Police in Velez-Malaga discovered their location and detained two people following a telephone tip-off from a member of the public.

According to police sources, it is believed that after the plants had been processed, they would have amounted to around 130 kilos of marijuana. One of the detained, a 55-year-old man, has a previous record for drug trafficking.
