Petrol vouchers for sober drivers

Petrol: Vouchers will be given to sober, young dri

A CAMPAIGN for the prevention of drug abuse in Velez-Malaga organised by the Social Affairs Department will hand out 100 five-euro petrol vouchers to young people who don’t drink and drive. The vouchers will be supplied by the Shell Axarquia petrol company. Local Police will also be collaborating in the campaign by carrying out breathalyser tests and awarding drivers aged between 18 and 35 who test negative with their prizes.

According to the Councillor for Social Affairs the vouchers can be exchanged for cheques at the Punto de Atención a la Movida (volunteer group dedicated to the prevention of alcoholism) on Saturdays between midnight and 3.00am.
