Gas leak in the city

• 29 Nov 2007 •

THE central street Avenida Pintor Sorolla in Malaga City had to cut off from traffic for more than an hour recently due to a gas leak, according to Fire Brigade sources. Allegedly the leak occurred after construction workers accidentally punctured a gas tube in part of the road they were working on. It was not necessary to evacuate the buildings in the area and emergency services were not involved as no one was injured. Reportedly, gas company technicians sealed the tube and traffic was re-established shortly afterwards.
