Costa tourism all set

A HUGE relaunch of tourism on the Costa del Sol will have a 335 million euros budget over the next two years.

The Junta de Andalucia has approved the tourism plan running from now until 2009 that includes the introduction of a new official to be called the Defender of Tourism.

Plans will see town centre improved and tourist locations revitalised, and in addition the latest technologies will be used wherever possible.

Environmental issues will also be closely reviewed.

Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella, Estepona, Casares and Manilva will all benefit from the plans.
