City outskirts lack basic services

A CENSUS taken on the residents in Malaga City has revealed that more than 5,000 people live in some areas lacking in basic services and essential commodities. These groups of single-family houses are located in the outskirts of the city.

Reportedly, the main problems they face are the fact that the roads have no asphalt resulting in their easy deterioration and often, their only water supply is from the wells – something which has become more difficult due to droughts. Electricity is often obtained by any means possible.
