New park before end of year

A NEW public park will be inaugurated in Arroyo de la Miel before the end of the year; it is in its final phase of construction, according to the deputy mayor. It is located next to Calle Alhambra and the urban railway, and will cover a surface area of 3,407 square metres on which 70 trees are being planted and playgrounds and two lawn bowling lanes installed. Benalmadena Town Hall has invested 400,875 euros in this park which does not yet have an official name. Most of the vegetation in the park is of a type needing the least amount of water and a drip irrigation system will be used to minimise wastage.
