Marbella programme to prune trees

MARBELLA Town Hall hopes to prevent recurring problems caused by dead branches and overgrown trees throughout the area. An extensive programme of pruning will be carried out in Marbella and San Pedro areas by specialised teams equipped with lorries with elevation baskets.

Regular pruning, aside from helping to prevent disease in the trees, also guards against the risk of injury from falling branches or that of overgrown trees obscuring traffic lights and signs or becoming entangled in overhead cables.

Marbella has 60,000 public trees requiring constant and costly maintenance.
