Junta applies for land to construct fourth health centre

THE JUNTA applies to the Town Hall of Marbella for land to construct a health centre in the north of Marbella. It will be constructed in the area of Trapiche near the Hotel Don Miguel. The project is for 4,500 square metres of land with 3,500 constructed. The centre will have 20 consultation rooms and six or seven paediatric rooms and will be able to attend the 30,000 people of the area. The health centre will also have rooms for minor surgery, health education, radiology, rehabilitation, mental health and dental assistance.

The Junta de Andalucia has proposed to accelerate the renovation of Marbella’s health service. The licence to extend the Hospital Costa del Sol has been approved which will convert it into one of the most important specialist centers in Andalucia. As well as this new center another has been projected in San Pedro, also the extension of the current centre in that locality and the extension of the centre in Las Chapas.
