Man kidnaps and rapes ex-girlfriend

• 17 Jan 2008 •

A 56-year-old man who held his ex-girlfriend hostage for two days and raped her several times just days after being released from prison has been taken back into police custody. According to officers, the man had previously been arrested on charges of domestic violence against his then girlfriend. He spent four days in jail before being released with a restraining order banning him from going anywhere near her.

The victim claims that her ex-boyfriend entered her house in the Molinillo area of Malaga City days after being released. He locked her inside the house for two days with all the blinds drawn, and subjected her to repeated sexual assault as well as humiliating and verbally abusing her. The woman’s official statement to police also claims that he threatened to kill her if she did not withdraw her earlier accusations which had led to his arrest and the restraining order.

The victim said that she was able to escape when the man fell asleep.

She took the keys and ran to the Local Police headquarters in Avenida Rosaleda. She gave officers her house keys and

they went to her house and arrested her ex-partner.
