New indoor sports pavilion in May

THE second indoor sports pavilion in Alhaurin el Grande currently under construction next to the existing municipal sports facility is expected to be officially opened in May, according to the mayor, Juan Martin Seron. The total cost of building this new pavilion is two million euros, 957,000 of which is being financed by the Junta de Andalucia with the remainder coming from the town hall.
Students from the Escuala Taller Fahala VI Workshop have been involved in the building project and have received theory as well as practical lessons in plumbing, electricity, building work, carpentry and metalwork, under instruction from their teachers.
The workshop project has now come to an end and its official closure was presided over by the mayor as well as the Provincial Delegate for Employment, Juan Carlos Lomeña, who congratulated the students on the quality of their work and said that a new workshop school is to start in September. |  Return to Top
