Carol Watts Sign-up and succeed

Carol Watts confidently believes, “Anyone, regardless of talent, can create stunning art work.”
To this end she is preparing a ‘how-to’ book and is seeking volunteers to sample her methods. She has developed several easy, step-by-step art projects to be covered during 12 three-hour sessions, due to commence at the ‘Off the Wall’ Gallery in Alte.
Carol will give participants the opportunity to try out many different materials and methods from simple brush techniques, colour washes, collages and painting profiles using shadow outlines, to the structured use of doodling!
Carol confidently predicts, “Even people who have never produced a picture in their lives will succeed if they follow my system.” In the UK she ran a day-care centre for ‘Headway’, an organisation that rehabilitates victims of head injuries. It was during this time, while working with patients in recovery, that she began to develop her approach.
Her own son who suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome – a form of autism – has benefited from her methodology. “It’s not hard to imagine the positive impact my methods have on people without any problems,” she says. “They’re quite amazed that they can achieve so much. Although this is a beginners’ course, people quickly gain confidence and go on to more advanced, unsupervised personal projects.”
