Teenager angered by being told off

A SIXTEEN-year-old has been arrested by Local Police for allegedly assaulting a 30-year-old man who reproached him for smoking a joint inside the main hall of a building. The incident occurred near Avenida Arroyo de los Angeles, Malaga, near the Guardia Civil headquarters.

The minor was smoking a joint and talking to a relative when a resident of the building arrived and caught them. When the man told them off, the teenager punched and kicked him, causing minor injuries. Another resident of the area called Police, who separated the two.

According to witnesses, the youth continued trying to hit the victim even after the officers arrived. The minor – who has previous arrests - has since been released due to a decision by the Public Ministry and has returned to his parents’ care to await citation.
