Father threatened to throw baby off balcony

A FATHER who threatened to throw his two-year-old daughter off a balcony is facing a possible six year jail term.

The Public Prosecutor’s office in Malaga is asking for the sentence against the man for abuse and threatening behaviour following a prohibition order against him being near his former girlfriend, with whom he had a relationship lasting three years.

Two months after the one-year prohibition order, he attacked the woman, punching, kicking and hitting her with a strap.

One day later he attacked her again, striking her with a strap, grabbing her by the hair and standing on her neck.

After she had reported the attacks, he locked himself in his home with a knife and threatened to throw their daughter from the balcony if he saw any sign of the police.

The Public Prosecutor claims the woman was constantly subjected to physical and psychological abuse.
