Mayor in battle for a national police station

Bolin hands a flower to a supporter at a recent ev

THE Mayor of Benalmadena, Enrique Bolin, has written several letters to the Malaga local government demanding that a three-floor building which the town council offered the national police force almost four years ago be used as a police station as originally planned.

The mayor feels that Benalmadena should have its own national police station so that local people don’t have to go elsewhere to deal with passports, immigration and identity cards. He says people are tired of having to take an average of three hours to queue at Torremolinos police station, and has been asking for a local station to be built for the past eight years.
