Age Concern, Estepona and Manilva

• 29 Mar 2007 •

Repatriation

One of the tasks that face Age Concern from time to time is the repatriation of a client to their home country. In 2006, the Consular Directorate funded an independent repatriation social worker based at Heathrow Airport to work at Heathrow Travel Care, a registered charity which is an independent crisis social work team. Age Concern Hispana has successfully worked with this organisation over many years.

Sponsored Walk

On March 25, Age Concern held a sponsored walk along the Paseo Maritimo, Estepona. More than 2,000 euros were raised by the walkers and their sponsors.

International Day

The First International Festival of Estepona for 2007 is being held on April 22 at the Palacio de Congresos, Estepona.  Age Concern will be there on stand number 13 selling all types of home made produce, plus teas and coffees. Cakes, jams, biscuits, sausage rolls and pies are needed.

Call 951 318 234 or email tonyaldous55@yahoo.co.uk.

Lifeline

For elderly people who require help or advice, Age Concern operate a telephone service called Lifeline.

The telephone number is 650 163 928.
