Events at Sao Bras Museum

A stitch in time
A new “Needles & Crafts” group will soon open at the São Brás Museum for ladies and gents who like to do needlecrafts ie cross-stitch, tapestry, embroidery, knitting, crochet, rug-making, ribbon work, quilting, patchwork, beading, lace-making, or any other type of needlework.
For those of you who enjoy working with needle and thread and like to share your hobby whilst making new friends, then come and join this inclusive, friendly, international, multi-lingual and informal group. They will meet weekly on Tuesday afternoons from 2.30-5pm.
Simple craft workshops and demonstrations will also be organised from time to time, given in English, Portuguese, French and Dutch. Dates for such events will be published in the museum’s monthly newsletters.

Classical Music
On April 14 at 8.30pm, there will be a classical music concert with Katharina Krueger on violin and Irene Ainstein on piano playing music by Corelli, Schubert, Brahms, Biber and Beethoven.

Rico Trio
On April 15 at 6pm, the Rico Trio will be performing with World Cup accordionist Joao Frade Rico (Luis Henrique dos Santos Lima) on percussion and Dinga (Adriano Santos Alves) on bass.
