Exhibition of fans in Alhaurin

THE Casa de la Cultura in Alhaurin el Grande held an exhibition of fans by artist Angeles Yesa who lives in the town. It is her first exhibition with 32 hand-painted fans and three flamenco dresses, which she defines as a sample of Spanish culture.

Friends and local people attended the inauguration, as well as the councillor for culture, Toñi Ledesma, who thanks the artist for being part of the town’s cultural scene. A short passage from Manuel de Falla’s ‘La vida breve’ was played, followed by the presentation of the fans in the hands of young local girls and flamenco dancing.
