Banderas keen to open theatre school

• 12 Apr 2007 •

MALAGA actor and director Antonio Banderas has not given up on his idea of setting up a theatre school in the city, although development of the project has been slow due to disagreements on real estate and bureaucracy. Commenting on the issue, he said: “No-one is going to give me my theatre, but I am planning on creating a foundation to cover the financial side and if necessary I will reach into my own pockets.”  Banderas’ plans for the theatre school include an arts centre with audiovisual documentation, restaurants and for the building to be interesting from an architectural point of view.
