Six year plea

THE Public Prosecutor’s Office in Malaga is asking for a six-year prison sentence for a man who is accused of swindling people through sales of computers. The man contacted several people who were interested in acquiring computers and told them he had an agreement for funding from the Junta de Andalucia, which would pay part of the price of the computer. He then offered them the computers with a 300-euro reduction and asked them for photocopies of their identification documents and payslips before making them sign a document to request a loan.

He then included higher amounts than those which had been agreed and the banks would give him the money. Ten people fell victim to this scam and had to pay back much higher loans than they had agreed for the computers, as a result.
