Cocaine on offer

THE OWNER of a bar in Malaga City and one of his waiters have been jailed for six years for selling cocaine to customers.

Malaga Provincial Court was told that the men prepared cocaine inside the bar, with a police surveillance video clearly showing the bar owner handing a paper bag containing a substance to a man who later testified against him under witness protection.

The waiter was also seen to give three people similar bags, all of which were found to contain cocaine.

When police checked the premises they found more than 150 grams of cocaine valued at nearly 10,000 euros as well as 8,124 euros in cash, jewellery, tools used to prepare the drug including small bags and a precision scale.

The accused, who showed personal signs of drug addiction, will also have to pay fines of 40,000 euros.
