Over the years we have witnessed the birth and demise of many new publications in the areas where Euro Weekly News is available. Some of these newspapers and magazines are weak, some are strong; some are lasting and some disappear as rapidly as cobwebs in the morning sun. Along with many of the fly-by-night publications come spurious figures and computations intended to impress readers and reassure advertisers but there is nothing fictitious, inflated, over-optimistic – or imaginative – about Euro Weekly News’s print run and distribution figures.

Forgive me if I sound smug, but smugness is one hundred per cent justified here at Euro Weekly News because we have nothing to hide. Infuriatingly for our would-be competitors, we know that our figures cannot be matched so we are more than happy to present our latest print bills, which in turn set out our true distribution figures. There is no distortion as there is nothing to distort: we do not need to misrepresent facts because we have a bigger print-run than any other free English-language newspaper in Europe.

The very simplest of simple arithmetic demonstrates that a print-run of 46,000 copies for the Costa del Sol, 55,000 for the Costa Blanca (including 30,000 in Torrevieja) plus 13,000 for Costa de Almería, 10,000 for Axarquia Malaga East, 10,000 for Mallorca per week, means we deliver the goods in the shape of 134,000 copies per week. That’s a staggering 580,667 copies of Euro Weekly News per month, a statistic to be proud of and show off with satisfaction. What’s more, watch this space, because very soon you will see how this figure grows as we move into new territories.

At Euro Weekly News we don’t just say we are the biggest - we back it up. Remember: when they make unbelievable claims that you’re disinclined to believe, ask them to whip it out (the printer’s bill, that is).
