FIDEL CASTRO showed his age by declaring that the CIA pays Osama bin Laden and George W Bush called on Bin Laden whenever he wanted to crank up the fear. Politicians regularly offer voters apprehension in order to sell them safety but at this late stage Castro – who never needed to conjure up fear in the past – is trying to sell Cubans a conspiracy theory.
