SMARTPHONE year-on-year sales have risen 96 per cent, according to new research by analyst types Gartner. One-in-five of all phones sold in the third quarter of 2010 were smartphones, the most popular being Google’s Android and Apples ‘i’ operating systems.
The Symbian operating system on the other hand is not doing so well.
