EL EJIDO – FOUR employees from Elsur, the municipal services company in El Ejido, spent Tuesday night in a local church. This is the start of an indefinite protest to demand their wages from November and December, and bonus payment for 2010. Some 50 employees are owed an average of €3,800 each.
A meeting was held with management but no agreement was reached. Elsur allegedly intends to present a layoff plan for their 370 employees to the Junta de Andalucia.
