GARRUCHA – THE Socialist party in Garrucha gas accused the mayor, Juan Francisco Fernandez (PP), of being “incapable” of doing his job. They are insisting that he makes sure the underground car park in Plaza Pedro Gea be opened as soon as possible, as work finished four years ago.
The socialists say that the 200-space car park is of vital importance for the development of local shops and restaurants. Many people, they say, visit Garrucha, so it is important to give them a place to park with ease, especially, they say, as the Partido Popular has gradually done away with parking in the streets.
Until just a few months ago, they claim, the municipal coffers had enough money to prepare the car park to be opened to the public, but no company has been found to run the facilities.
