THE Scooba 230 is iRobot’s automatic mop. Unlike the Roomba, this little robot does not pick up debris on carpets and hard surface flooring, instead it washes hard surface floors with cleaning solution. It is fully programmable and features open source software, so can be commanded to clean the floor while you are at work, asleep or program it is such a way that it is fun to watch … until the novelty wears off that is.
Its three-stage cleaning system neutralizes up to 97 per cent of common household bacteria according to the company. Firstly fresh solution is applied, then brushes scrub the floor and finally a vacuum lifts the dirty water.
Of course the clean water is kept separate from the dirty water.
