Drug Ring Arrested in Mallorca

THE GUARDIA Civil has arrested 14 people in Mallorca on an operation to break a hashish smuggling ring. In the process of the arrests they seized about 80 kilos of the drug. The suspects are of Spanish and Moroccan nationality.

They have been accused of conspiracy, money laundering, drug trafficking and smuggling. The operation is being carried out by the Task Force Against Organised Crime (ECO) and has been carried out with officers both here in Mallorca, and in Malaga on the mainland.
