THE Partido Popular President in Andalucia, Javier Arenas, has joined the KM222 association created to demand improved access to Benalmadena from the A-7 motorway.
The campaign began just over two weeks ago and has collected more than 2,000 signatures in favour of creating another slip road from the motorway to prevent the tailbacks which are a daily occurrence at exit 222 to Benalmadena at key times of the day.
At a PP convention held in Torremolinos last weekend, a spokesperson from Benalmadena explained to Arenas the difficulties which local residents found when travelling to Malaga, due to congestion on the slip roads.
The PP has reported that the campaign is gaining huge support in the town and that they will be collecting signatures until March.
