THE Urban Consortium of the Playa de Palma plans to invest €15 million in the Can Pastilla and Arenal Llucmajor areas. The money will be spent on comprehensively redeveloping public spaces and improving the image and services of the areas. The project will be funded through the Comprehensive Action Plan.
The manager of the Urban Consortium, Margarita Najera, said that the money would be spent on these places because of their high density of residential properties.
She also said that the Consortium aimed to comprehensively redevelop the roads and apartment buildings over 40 years old.
The project includes substantial improvements to the service facilities in Llucmajor, including the sewage pipes and plumbing, electrical and telephone wiring in building facades, widening pavements and beautifying the urban environment.
€10 million will be spent in the Llucmajor area, and the remaining €5 million will be spent in Can Pastilla.
