THE Mayor of Benamocarra, Abdeslam Lucena, has accused the PSOE mayoral candidate, Jose Antonio Diaz of drinking whisky and charging the bills to the town hall. According to the mayor, when Diaz was a councillor, he “lived well at the expense of the town hall and wishes to do so again”. Attached to this accusation is a bill signed by Diaz.
Lucena also claims that Diaz has asked more than 15 people to be on his electoral list and has received a negative response, which is why he still hasn’t been able to officially become a candidate for mayor, and does not have the support of the socialist candidates in the council.
He claims that the party is divided and complained that the local PSOE, instead of proposing positive projects, does nothing but print pamphlets to discredit him as a mayor.
