Iberia flight aborts take off after engine fire

A FLIGHT to Madrid was grounded at El Altet Airport on Monday after a fault was discovered in one of the airplane’s engines, AENA sources said. One of the passengers reportedly saw flames coming out of one of the engines as the Iberia plane was taking off, a Spanish daily reports. Pilots spotted the fault and aborted take off immediately.

There were no reported injuries and passengers were transferred to other flights to Madrid.
